1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern your use of bedriox.com, marketplace.bedriox.com, and related Bedriox services (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the Services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. You must be legally able to enter this agreement or use the Services with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Bedriox is an independent open-source project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mojang Studios or Microsoft.
2. Accounts
Accounts use supported third-party OAuth providers. You are responsible for securing the connected provider account, supplying accurate information, and promptly reporting unauthorized access. Do not share access, impersonate another person, create accounts to evade enforcement, or sell or transfer an account without written approval. We may require additional verification before sensitive account, seller, or ownership changes.
3. Acceptable conduct
You may not use the Services to:
- break applicable law or violate another person’s rights;
- harass, threaten, exploit, deceive, or expose private information;
- post spam, manipulate ratings or downloads, coordinate fake engagement, or misrepresent compatibility;
- bypass access controls, moderation, rate limits, payment controls, or security testing boundaries;
- upload malware, credential stealers, destructive code, hidden remote loaders, unauthorized telemetry, or intentionally misleading artifacts;
- interfere with the Services or probe them outside a good-faith, responsibly disclosed security review; or
- use Bedriox names, marks, or presentation in a way that falsely suggests endorsement.
4. Plugins, ownership, and licenses
You retain ownership of content you submit. You must have all rights needed to publish it, including code, names, icons, screenshots, descriptions, dependencies, and bundled assets. Your submission must accurately identify its license and must comply with third-party licenses and notices.
You grant Bedriox a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, scan, reformat, display, distribute, and promote submitted content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Services. This license ends when content is removed, except for copies reasonably retained in backups, moderation or legal records, completed transactions, and licenses already granted to downloaders.
Free plugins must provide the public source repository required by the submission flow and remain available under the license declared on the listing. Downloaders receive rights from the plugin’s stated license or purchase terms—not ownership from Bedriox. Bedriox does not grant rights to third-party names, code, or assets merely because a plugin appears in the marketplace.
5. Safety review and moderation
Submissions may be automatically scanned and manually reviewed, but review does not guarantee that a plugin is safe, lawful, compatible, or free of defects. Publishers must not attempt to conceal behavior from reviewers. Each release can be separately reviewed, quarantined, rejected, unpublished, or removed.
Bedriox may moderate listings, releases, reviews, comments, reactions, reports, accounts, and other content; request changes; preserve evidence; restrict downloads; or remove content when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, creates risk, misleads users, or harms the project. We may act before completing an investigation when urgent security or legal risk exists.
6. Copyright, licensing, and takedown requests
If you believe marketplace content infringes your copyright, trademark, license, or other rights, email [email protected] with your contact details, the work or right at issue, the exact listing or material, the basis for your claim, and a statement that the information is accurate. We may forward a request to the publisher and may remove or restrict material while reviewing it.
Publishers may respond with supporting ownership or licensing information. Repeated or serious infringement may result in account termination. Knowingly false notices may create legal liability.
7. Payments and supporter contributions
The price, currency, platform fee, taxes, and applicable purchase terms are shown before checkout. Payments and seller onboarding may be processed by Stripe and are also subject to Stripe’s terms. Publishers are responsible for lawful products, accurate descriptions, taxes assigned to them, and their obligations to buyers.
Any refund policy presented at checkout or required by law will control. Except where that policy or applicable law requires otherwise, purchases are final after access to a digital plugin is provided. Bedriox may issue or require refunds for fraud, duplicate charges, unavailable files, material misrepresentation, security removal, or other exceptional circumstances. Chargebacks, disputes, and refunds may suspend an entitlement while they are resolved.
Optional contributions to support Bedriox are payments to help fund development and operations; they are not tax-deductible charitable donations. Recurring support renews at the interval and amount shown at checkout until canceled through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and ordinarily leaves benefits active through the paid period. Supporter benefits are recognition and best-effort community benefits, may evolve, and do not purchase ownership, governance rights, guaranteed response times, or continued access to any particular feature. Refunds, disputes, failed payments, account enforcement, or abuse may remove financial badges and Discord roles.
8. Third-party plugins and support
Most marketplace plugins are created by independent developers. The publisher—not Bedriox—is responsible for plugin-specific defects, documentation, compatibility, and ordinary technical support. Use the repository or support link on the plugin listing for those issues. Bedriox support handles the Bedriox project, marketplace operation, security, legal and licensing concerns, accounts, and submission problems.
9. Service changes and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features; impose reasonable limits; or modify these Terms as the project evolves. We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account or listing for violations, legal requirements, security risk, extended abandonment, or harm to users or the Services. Where reasonable, we will provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue.
You may stop using the Services at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. Provisions that reasonably need to survive—such as licenses already granted, moderation and transaction records, disclaimers, liability limits, and unresolved obligations—continue after termination.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services, Bedriox software, and marketplace content are provided “as is” and “as available.” Bedriox disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, security, and compatibility. You are responsible for backups, testing plugins in a safe environment, and deciding whether software is suitable for your server.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bedriox contributors and operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or server availability arising from the Services or third-party plugins. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. General terms
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without permission; Bedriox may assign them as part of a legitimate project reorganization. Applicable mandatory law remains unaffected.
We may update these Terms by changing the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, by providing reasonable notice through the Services. Continued use after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms, licensing, rights, security, account issues, or business matters can be sent to [email protected]. See Contact & Support for the best route for plugin-specific help.
